The HTX-485S is designed to provide the strength to grip and hold without the bulk or lack of feel found in traditional longnose pliers. It can easily capture a human hair, tighten a thread, flatten a copper wire or draw twisted wire cable through tubing. A return spring returns the plier to an open position, and cushioned grips ensure operator comfort. Serrations provide extra holding power.

 "LONG NOSE SERRATED" 2010-08-09
By Herbert W. Weldon (GRANDVIEW, MO)
A PERSON WOULD BE EXTREMELY HARD PRESSED TO FIND A PRECISE TOOL THAT IS BETTER, ESPECIALLY WITH THE PRICE CONSIDERED. I HAVE USED XURON TOOLS IN MY MINIATURE STERLING ENGINE MACHINING AND THE ELECTRONICS DESIGN WORK I DO. THERE IS JUST NO BETTER TOOLS AVAILABLE IN THE PRICE RANGE.

PRECISE??? THE TOOLS EASILY PICK UP A HUMAN HAIR FROM SHEET GLASS IN THE PLIERS CATEGORY. THE CUTTERS ARE OF EQUAL QUALITY, THEY SIMPLY CUT THAT WIRE AS YOU WOULD EXPECT. NICE CLEAN, EXACT CUTS EVERY TIME. I OWN ALL MANNER OF TOOLS, THERE IS NONE BETTER FOR THE PRICE, IN FACT THE XURONS WIN OUT OVER FAR MORE EXPENSIVE TOOLS. INCLUDING HIGH-DOLLAR IMPORTS.

MY WIFE MAKES LADIES BRACELETS AND SHE IS NOT "A TOOL PERSON".........THOUGHT SHE WOULD NEVER NEED NOR USE CUTTERS AND PLIERS FROM XURON. ANYWAY, I FINALLY BOUGHT HER SEVERAL XURONS AND SHE LOVES THEM .....AND NO BODY SHOULD EVER BORROW HE TOOLS WITHOUT PERMISSION!!!!!

CALL ME IF YOU LIKE, I WILL EXPAND ON HOW GOOD THESE TOOLS ARE.

Did the job. I was able to work with extremely thin and small portions of wire. Very comfortable to use.
